Functional Outcome Assessment System
The Board of Directors of the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), in an ongoing search to provide its members with the best information and keys to practice success, has endorsed the unique and highly respected Myo-Logic MSM-7000 functional testing equipment. The Myo-Logic system offers doctors of chiropractic an established, reproducible measurement and documentation program that is tailor made for the chiropractic practice, and fills an urgent gap in DC’s validation process. “In today’s increasingly competitive practice environment, where careful documentation and measurement of a patient’s status and progress are the keys to acceptance, the Myo-Logic system is a powerful asset to any chiropractic practice,” said ICA President Dr. John K. Maltby.
The MSM-7000 measures and records a patient’s range of motion, muscle strength, pain pressure threshold; it will test for fibromyalgia and also incorporates standardized outcome questionnaires. All Myo-Logic procedures follow the protocols set forth in the current guides to permanent impairment and have a strong and proven track record in validating the clinical necessity for chiropractic care. The MSM-7000 is also the first completely wireless system on the market, benefiting from hands-free technology originally developed by Myo-Logic, and has an integrated narrative writer with voice recognition compatibility. The MSM-7000 is the only system on the market that holds all the keys to functional testing.
“Myo-Logic Diagnostics' MSM-7000 System is the best method I have ever seen to document and defend the existence of the vertebral subluxation complex, and to demonstrate the effectiveness of chiropractic care,” said ICA Vice President Daniel J. Murphy, DC, DABCO, FICA. “The new 100% wireless MSM-7000 Evidence Based System is the finest patient documentation system available in the world today. All other systems are now OBSOLETE.”
The Myo-Logic system was developed by chiropractors, for chiropractors over a period of nearly two decades. Pioneered by Harold McCoy, DC, FICA, the Myo-Logic equipment and software have been in use for many years by thousands of practitioners nationwide, and have been proven to be effective and productive in every practice setting.
ICA is also pleased to announce that Myo-Logic is offering an immediate discount of $500 to ICA members and members of ICA’s postgraduate councils, on the purchase of the MSM-7000. Myo-Logic will also make a similar donation to ICA for each unit sold to support chiropractic research.
“We believe, after extensive research and evaluation of the product and its application to the needs of the busy chiropractic practice, that Dr. McCoy has developed one of the key ingredients that will give us the ammunition we need to prove what we do,” said Dr. Maltby. “We are very excited about this new relationship and feel it will have a very positive impact not only for our members, but the profession as a whole.
