Vaccine risks and autism to be addressed by leading experts at ICA's Annual Pediatrics Conference in Lake Tahoe this November

The ICA Pediatrics Council is pleased to announce that Stephanie Cave, MD, FAARP and Ed Yazbak, MD, FAAP, both noted for their work with autism research and other vaccine-related disorders, have enthusiastically accepted an invitation to speak at its Annual Pediatrics Conference set for November 7-9 in Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe, California.

Dr. Stephanie Cave is the author of the book, "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Children's Vaccinations" which many scientists say is a "must read for parents and parents-to- be." Cave has treated more than 700 children with autism in her practice and firmly believes that the epidemic in autism is linked to childhood vaccinations.  She has testified before Congress and appeared on a CNN special focusing on autism and vaccines

Dr. Edward Yazbak, a recently retired pediatrician specialized in children's infectious diseases and a former professor at Brown University has an interesting history. While in practice he served as the Chief Medical Office in Rhode Island and was responsible for carrying out all immunization mandates. Today, Dr.Yazbak is not only speaking out against childhood vaccinations, but he has done considerable research into the effect of vaccines and written numerous papers on the subject.  He has debated researchers of studies supporting vaccinations, questioned motives of research studies and drug manufacturers and is a determined and vocal advocate of freedom of choice. Dr. Yazbak will give two lectures, one on the adverse effects of vaccines in children and the other on vaccinations and pregnancy.

Other great speakers and topics: Also confirmed for the November conference are Drs. Dan Murphy, Carol Phillips, Joan Fallon, Peter Fysh, Lora Tanis, Elise Hewitt, Patricia Felder, Dale Fairchild and Sharon Vallone.  Topics range from pediatric immune system, nutrition, cranial techniques, sports injuries and several interactive case discussions.  There will also be a choice of three different adjusting workshops, presentation of research papers from field practitioners, and to re-ignite the passion for chiropractic, a special evening session on chiropractic philosophy with Dr. Maxine McMullen.

Registration:  To register call the ICA Council on Chiropractic Pediatrics at 1-800-423-4690.  Early Bird registration rates end September 2, 2003

Accommodations: The conference is at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Squaw Valley, a spectacular facility nestled in the Sierra Mountains, 6,200 ft above sea level.  It is 45 minutes from Reno/Lake Tahoe International airport, 5 miles from Lake Tahoe, 200 miles from San Francisco and 100 miles from Sacramento. A great resort for the whole family. The group rate for Conference attendees is $140 single/double.
